![]() Do I need to also paste/import image(s) in order to have a graphic? I just figured xpadder would be able to assemble it from the profile information and it's knowledge of the 360 controller, but - no? It seems that the individual mappings are there, from what I can tell - but, there is no image. Then, I "pasted" on the Profile side the content from a particular profile I want (used select-all and copy), and it pasted with no issue. I did (I think) create layout, as in I opened a blank new controller layout. Xpadder recognzied my xbox 360 wireless, no problem. If there is a corrected link re: create a controller layout, it would be appreciated. jpg and from what I can tell, an image that can be read by Xpadder needs to be a. I think it's really just a bad link/topic? Can someone point me at a valid top on creating a layout? I imagine I can fumble through it, but there are a number of ways to do this it seems, and though there are images posted with various game layouts, these are all. Trouble is, this brings up an empty topic with the words "You are not authorized to view this forum", though - well, I am a licensed user and clearly have an ID, etc. In the do-it-right-now mode, I am using this post - first thing noticed is that, before you can copy profile info, you must create a controller layout, and a link is provided ( ). Only if you click on "Do not save" or if you force Xpadder to close via the Task Manager or a system shutdown, Profiles or Controller Layout can get lost. If you click on "New" to create a new profile or close Xpadder completely, Xpadder will ask you if you want to save possible unsaved changes. Alternatively you can click on the area that shows the name of the current profile, to select from a list of your 4 last used profiles. To load a profile, click in the profile menu on "Open." and select the profile. If you click on it the old file will be overwritten, but note that Xpadder will not ask before that. If you can click on "Save" (it's not grayed out) in the profile menu, then this profile already exists somewhere as a file. The next time you want to save or load a profile, this last used folder will directly be opened. ![]() You can save it directly next to the Xpadder.exe, in an new folder called for example "Profiles" (I have different folders for my different controllers) or under "My documents". A windows opens that should show the folder with the Xpadder.exe, now you can select where to save the profile and give it a name. I can't wait for the developers of TDM to implement analog stick support in their excellent mod.Open the profile menu and click on "Save as.". This is the perfect controller scheme for the games, imo. Been using Xpadder for several years but actually didn't know how to set up the multiple set switch until now. It's just sooooo much easier to creep past (or creep behind for a good BJ) an NPC with analog movment on an Xbox 360 controller than it is having to fuss with special movement speed buttons and/or keys. It's especially great for Thief Gold & Thief 2 because they support analog movement. Just wanted to say that I use this loadout (with some modification) for my own Xpadder profile for Thief 1, 2 & TDM fan missions and it works perfectly. ![]() There certainly are some missions where running jump is a necessity at some places. Set1TriggerRightSlots=Left Mouse Button (1)Īny input is appreciated, and hope it is useful for peopleĮDIT: Changed LB to Run, while Set 2 LB has Creep - figured after playing some more that Run+Jump needs to be possible and Creep is very rarely needed. Set1TriggerLeftSlots=Middle Mouse Button (3) Copy+paste to a profile file, you know how it works of you use Xpadder: RS: Mouse look / Rotate (with manipulate)Īnd here is the profile itself. ![]() For those interested, I thought I'd share it here, and ask for any input you guys have on what could be improved. I've been playing with a Xbox360 controller for a while now, and think I have a good setup for TDM, with all or most of the functions mapped. With the Thief series the slow pace make them perfect games to play on the big screen with a controller, However TDM has a lot of keys to set up (like the original Thief) so mapping all the keys to a controller is a challenge and requires some compromises to be made. ![]()
